Th a non foaming cleanser that contains Hyaluronic Acid and time release Ceramides.
I use this as my morning cleanser although I have used it to remove make up and it does a decent job of removing most of it easily, I prefer to use a balm in the evening, however, this is ideal to use as a second cleanse. The consistency reminds me of hair conditioner.
I have had no irritation using this on the eye area. I just apply to dry skin, massage and then remove with a warm flannel. Skin is left feeling clean, soft and hydrated. There is no fragrance to speak of but I find it does have a slight chemical smell initially, although you shouldn't really take my word for that, since the menopause my sense of smell is all over the place.
As you can see by the little banner on the bottle, this cleanser has been approved by the National Eczema Association in America.
I really like this cleanser and it's one that I will use more on than off now that I have found a supplier in the UK, although if you or someone you know travels to the USA on a regular basis you can pick it up in Walmart for between $8 - $12 so it's worth stocking up. If you're looking for a purse friendly cleanser then you could do a lot worse than giving Cerave a go.
I have also reviewed the CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM
I purchased this bottle for only £10.35 for a huge 12oz bottle (around 340ml) with pump from Amazon what a bargain!!
What's your favourite budget cleanser?
This sounds like a really good product - it's great to hear it doesn't irritate the eyes and it looks like a big bottle. I don't usually use budget cleansers because I have sensitive skin, my fail safe cleanser is from Clarins. I might check this one out though.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised it works as well as it does for being a budget cleanser.
DeleteFar too many parabens and chemicals for my liking, but if it works for you then that's great :) By the way, anyone with eczema should try beeswax, it's amazing!
ReplyDeleteI agree Lynette that if you are trying to avoid parabens and chemicals then this is not the cleanser for you.
DeleteMy skin is so dry at the moment, this sounds great for hydrating it :) And it should last a long time too :)
ReplyDeleteIt is very hydrating and it's lasting ages.
DeleteIt is great to hear that it does not irritate the eyes. There is plenty of the bottle too which means you get more for your money!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely good value for money.
DeleteThis sounds like something that would be great for me! Great review

DeleteWow that's a big bottle!!! Personally I would prefer a product that is a bit more natural.
ReplyDeleteYes Melanie this is not ideal for people who prefer more natural products.
DeleteThis actually sound like a great product I had never heard of it before I may need to check it out X
ReplyDeleteMiss Kitty Kaos - Adventures Of A Riot Grrrl

ReplyDeleteIt's a very hydrating cleanser
DeleteThis sounds great! I am obsessed with the soap and glory peaches and clean cleanser at the moment x
ReplyDeleteOoh I haven't tried that one yet.
DeleteThis looks perfect to have at my desk in work! I'm constantly wearing nitrile gloves and the soap here isn't of high quality and my hands are always dry!
ReplyDeleteIt's brilliant for hydrating skin.
DeleteThis looks great for anyone with problem skin as well as eczema. It looks a huge bottle too so seems quite good value for money. I'm using Body Shop products at the moment which I'm happy with but will bear this brand in mind if I ever want to switch.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely good value, I like body shop too.
DeleteI have never come across this but it sounds good value for money given the size of the bottle x
ReplyDeleteFabulous value for money.
DeleteLooks and sounds like a great product, I have tried a number of cleaners but not this one and the price isn't too bad either
ReplyDeleteGreat product, great price.
Deletewow that's a bit bottle! It sounds like a good product and on budget. I use Dermalogica, a bit goes a long way. R
ReplyDeleteI like Dermalogica too, this is great for a budget buy.
DeleteI use micellar water to cleanse and then chamomile cleansing butter from the body shop.
ReplyDeleteI've just used the Body Shop cleansing butter, really liked it.
DeleteIt sounds like such good value for money, I'm going to definitely check it out as I love trying new cleansers x
ReplyDeleteMe too, can never resist a new cleanser :) x
DeleteI use a cleanser from bodyshop, but not sure if thats what you call value. I think it is because it does a good job but I think its about £8 a tube. But I wouldn't use anything else now.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Bodyshop cleansers and they a very good price for a great product :)
DeleteIt sounds like great value for money. For me personally, if I find something I like and it works, then the next product to take its place has to wow me!
