CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

cerave hydrating cleanser

I have been using CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser on and off for years, I usually purchase this in bulk when holidaying in USA but recently I noticed that there were a few UK sellers on Amazon so I made my purchase and decided to share my thoughts on it with you.
Th a non foaming cleanser that contains Hyaluronic Acid and time release Ceramides.

budget friendly cleanser

I use this as my morning cleanser although I have used it to remove make up and it does a decent job of removing most of it easily, I prefer to use a balm in the evening, however, this is ideal to use as a second cleanse.  The consistency reminds me of hair conditioner.

I have had no irritation using this on the eye area.  I just apply to dry skin, massage and then remove with a warm flannel.  Skin is left feeling clean, soft and hydrated.  There is no fragrance to speak of but I find it does have a slight chemical smell initially, although you shouldn't really take my word for that, since the menopause my sense of smell is all over the place.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is definitely not for you if you prefer to avoid parabens.

As you can see by the little banner on the bottle, this cleanser has been approved by the National Eczema Association in America.

I really like this cleanser and it's one that I will use more on than off now that I have found a supplier in the UK, although if you or someone you know travels to the USA on a regular basis you can pick it up in Walmart for between $8 - $12 so it's worth stocking up.  If you're looking for a purse friendly cleanser then you could do a lot worse than giving Cerave a go.

I have also reviewed the CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM

I purchased this bottle for only £10.35 for a huge 12oz bottle (around 340ml) with pump from Amazon what a bargain!!

  1. This sounds like a really good product - it's great to hear it doesn't irritate the eyes and it looks like a big bottle. I don't usually use budget cleansers because I have sensitive skin, my fail safe cleanser is from Clarins. I might check this one out though.

  2. Far too many parabens and chemicals for my liking, but if it works for you then that's great :) By the way, anyone with eczema should try beeswax, it's amazing!

  10. This looks perfect to have at my desk in work! I'm constantly wearing nitrile gloves and the soap here isn't of high quality and my hands are always dry!

  11. This looks great for anyone with problem skin as well as eczema. It looks a huge bottle too so seems quite good value for money. I'm using Body Shop products at the moment which I'm happy with but will bear this brand in mind if I ever want to switch.
