Clarins Jolie Rouge Brilliant Lipsticks

From Clarins New Rouge Eclate Range comes the Jolie Brilliant Lipsticks.  They are a deeply moisturising, long lasting lipstick with a sheer finish.

Clarins Jolie Rouge Brilliant Lipsticks
L to R Sweet Plum, Watermelon

These little lovelies come in very slick Silver packaging.  The shades look quite dark until you apply them.

L to R Sweet Plum, Watermelon

As you can see from the swatches the colours are really sheer and not scary at all.  I was quite worried about Watermelon as it looks quite orangey in the tube.  Both are lovely and I would describe them as a cross between a lipstick and a gloss.  They have more pigment than a gloss but more shine than your normal lipstick.  They feel lovely and moisturising on the lip and there is no stickiness at all.  Both of these shades have a whitening effect on the teeth.  I found they lasted a couple of hours before I needed to reapply.

Jolie Rouge Brilliant Lipsticks are available now at www.clarins.co.uk and all usual retailers for £17

Clarins New Rouge Eclat Lipsticks

As part of Clarins new Rouge Eclat Spring Make-up Collection they have given us 15 Satin Finish Age-Defying Lipsticks.  Ahhh Age-Defying, music to me ears (or should I say lips).

These lipsticks have everything, they are long lasting, none drying, they boost collagen, contain Vitamin E to protect against Free Radicals and they are made with 100% plant waxes including Sunflower, Jojoba and Mimosa.  They also taste and smell of Liquorice and Blackberry.

Clarins New Rouge Eclat Lipsticks
L to R  Coral Pink, Sweet Rose, Pink Berry, Passion Red

Clarins New Rouge Eclat Lipsticks swatches
L to R  Coral Pink, Sweet Rose, Pink Berry, Passion Red

As you can see from the swatches the colours are very wearable.  My favourite is the the Sweet Rose, it's the first time I have found a pale pink that actually suits me and I have been wearing it every day.  Pink Berry is a gorgeous creamy berry colour, very wearable and goes with everything.  Passion Red is perfect as an everyday red as it's not too bright and it really whitens the teeth.  My least favourite is the Coral Pink, I really struggle with my natural lip colour to wear any shade of coral lipstick.

The formula is lovely and just glides onto the lip, I have tried these without a lip pencil and there is hardly any bleeding.  I got a good 4 hours out of these lipsticks without having to reapply.  They feel lovely and moisturising on the lips and there is no dryness whatsoever.  The packaging is also very chic and hard wearing.

These lipsticks are available now at www.clarins.co.uk and all the usual retailers for  £18.50 pop over to the website and have a look at the other shades that are available, I'm positive that you will find at least one there that you fall in love with.

Clarins Limited Edition Face and Blush Powder review
In Natural Light
I'm happy to report that there is no glitter in this product and so it is perfect for the more mature skin. Just swirl your brush over all three of the colours in the palette for a lovely natural glow to the skin, the powder is buildable for a more intense colour.  Can be used as a blusher, a bronzer or a highlighter.

This palette is available now from www.clarins.co.uk and all usual stockists for £30

Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Skin Wash

I'm going to say right from the off 'I love this product'!  I agreed to review it initially as I thought it would be ideal for my 15 year old daughter to use.  But I have to say we have all had a dabble with this and we all love it.

Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Skin Wash

What they say :-

A gentle antiseptic hand and body wash for everyday use, protects from bacteria and leaves the skin fresh and hygienically clean. This non-drying formula is suitable for everyday use by all the family.

2% Tea Tree Oil
Antiseptic wash
Suitable for everyday use
Inhibits spot causing bacteria
Non drying (pH balanced)
Skin feels fresh and clean

Available in 250ml, 500ml and 1000ml

What I say :-

Well first of all I love the fact that it can be used as a face wash and a body wash, perfect for taking into the shower after the gym or any other sporting activity as it gently kills all bacteria.  It smells amazing, so clean and fresh, not over powering and very unisex.  I hasten to add that the aroma does not linger on your skin so it will not interfere with your post shower body lotions.  The few outbreaks that I had at the top of my back have now cleared up since using this skin wash.

Apparently Clarins counters nationwide use this to clean their brushes, so of courses I have tried this on my brushes too, it is amazing, removes all traces of make up without any effort and leaves the brushes fabulously clean and bacteria free.

I have even washed the dog in it.  Did you know that the grit/rock salt the councils put down during the cold weather contains anti freeze, this tastes very sweet to cats and dogs so if they get it on their paws or fur they will happily lick it off, but it can cause seizures, brain damage or death.  I have used Australian Bodycare Skin wash to wash the paws of my dog and cats to ensure any traces of the grit/rock salt are removed.

As you can see this is a very versatile product and is now a must have in our home.

Australian Bodycare Skin wash retails at £12.50 for 250 ml and is available from salons and independent pharmacies nationwide.  For stockists please visit www.australianbodycare.com
