The Real Techniques Brush Collections by Samantha Chapman have gone down a storm in the make up world and I have to admit I'm a bit late to the party with this brand. I have read many reviews and it appears that I have been missing out on something special. I have now arrived at the party with the Limited Edition Real Techniques Duo Fibre Collection. Each brush has been made using 2 synthetic fibres with the idea being that the user can create soft layers of product to ensure a pixel perfect flawless finish. The brushes are designed to be used with powder, liquid and cream formulations.
Duo Fibre Face Brush
This brush is designed for the application of all powder and pigment products. I found this perfect as a finishing powder and bronzer brush. It was perfect for building up the strength of the bronzer as the application is super light.
Duo Fibre Contour Brush
This brush is designed or applying contour products. I have been using it to apply my Bobbi Brown cream blusher and it is just perfect. It picks up a small amount of cream so there is no chance of getting the 'Aunt Sally' look and it blends to perfection.
Duo Fibre Eye Brush
This Brush is designed for applying eye products. I can see how this would make the perfect brush for blending in the crease, however, I have several of those brushes already, what I don't have is a concealer brush so I thought I would try this with my Estee Lauder Double Wear Cream Concealer under my eyes. Well it works like a dream, I don't know how I have managed all these years with just my finger as my weapon of choice. The finish achieved with this brush is far superior to the finish I've been getting with my finger.
I am so impressed by these brushes that I am now considering replacing some of my other brushes with ones from the Real Techniques range.
The Real Techniques Duo Fibre Collection is currently available from www.cloud10beauty.com for £27.99
They also stock the full Real Technique Range in kits and individually.

I'm tempted to try them but I've heard bad reviews too about their quality and it's put me off! I am tempted though!
ReplyDeleteHi Charlotte, when I first opened them and swooshed them through my hands there was some slight shedding on the contour and the eye brush, but no shedding since then. I saw a couple of meh reviews before I tried them myself and I have to say I was not expecting to love them as much as I do xx
ReplyDeleteI think I must be the only Beauty Blogger going to have not tried any Real Technique Brushes yet! xx
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel Jo, I was a Real Techniques Virgin until these little beauties arrived :) xxx
DeleteI absolutely love these brushes! they are so soft and they just apply really well!

Hi Andrew, I totally agree, I just cannot believe what a difference they have made to my application techniques, love them xx
DeleteI love the Stippling and Eye brushes from the eye starter kit. The little kabuki that folds over is also amazing for contouring with, though a wee bit big!
ReplyDeleteGreat review, I've had these in my iHerb cart forever, and am thinking of checking out right now!
xx
Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I am thinking of replacing all my brushes eventually with Teal Techniques, I will check out the folding Kabuki brush next too. Happy check out :) Jude
DeleteI was going to buy this, but I held back.. now I wish I did!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes I have replaced the majority of my brushes with rt brushes as well :)
